2nd Annual RAP Speaks Storytelling Event

 

Austin/Travis County Reentry Roundtable and the Reentry Advocacy Project are pleased to invite you to RAP Speaks, the second annual storytelling event focused on sharing the voices and perspectives of individuals directly impacted by the criminal justice system. 
When: Tuesday, April 16th from 7-9pm
Where: Impact Hub North (5540 N Lamar Blvd)

 

In recognition of Second Chance month, the evening’s storytelling will highlight the personal reentry journeys of four justice-involved speakers in navigating housing, employment, legislative advocacy, and community engagement after exiting incarceration.

Speakers will include:

  • Laurie Pherigo, current Advocacy Fellow
  • Darwin Hamilton, RAP and Executive Committee member
  • Mia Greer, Community Coalition for Health 
  • Sandra Smith, Via Hope
